Ali Artology

Ali Artology is the creative practice of Jersey artist Alison Robinson, whose detailed illustrations are inspired by the island’s rich natural and historic environment. Drawing influence from insects, plants, archaeology, and local history, Ali creates highly textured works filled with intricate detail and character.

Working from her small home studio in St Helier, Ali combines fine ink illustration with vivid watercolour painting, often using stippling and dotwork techniques to build natural texture and depth. Her background in Archaeology and Archaeological Illustration continues to shape her artistic style, bringing precision and storytelling into each piece.

Using technical Rotring pens alongside vibrant Japanese watercolours, Ali produces distinctive artwork that celebrates both nature and heritage. Her work is available through her Etsy shop and stocked locally at JM Emporium in First Tower.
