Chantal Venton

Chantal Venton is a Jersey artist specialising in ceramics and printmaking, with a practice rooted in craftsmanship, symbolism, and storytelling. She began her formal arts education at Highlands College in 2001, studying under respected tutors and practicing artists including Nicolas Romeril and Glyn Burton, before completing a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Crafts at Falmouth University in 2007.

Since graduating, Chantal has continued to develop and refine her artistic techniques, creating work that often explores themes of mysticism, symbolism, human relationships, and emotional connection. Her pieces reflect an ongoing fascination with the unseen and the ways in which people interact with both each other and their environments.

Alongside these deeper themes, Chantal’s work is also infused with a subtle sense of dark humour, sarcasm, and playful skepticism. Balancing introspection with wit, her artistic style combines curiosity, technical skill, and individuality to create work that is both thoughtful and distinctive.
