Jersey Beekeepers Association

The Jersey Beekeepers’ Association was founded in 1917 to promote and support the craft of beekeeping in Jersey. Now with more than 100 members, the Association focuses on education, training, and raising public awareness about the importance of bees and pollination across the island.

As both a charity and a Genuine Jersey member, the Association plays an important role in supporting Jersey’s bee population, particularly in light of challenges such as habitat loss and the threat posed by Asian Hornets. The organisation also works to encourage local honey production and highlight the value of genuine local produce.

The Association marked its centenary with a range of initiatives including a training apiary, educational events, a Honey Show at Hamptonne, and public awareness projects designed to promote bee conservation and sustainable beekeeping practices in Jersey.
